about

Hailing from the outskirts of Hamburg, the band 'Abortive Gasp' burst onto the music scene in 1989, conventionally their debut sounded within the walls of the renowned 'Lamplight Studios'. Combining the evocative sounds of darkwave, the pulsating energy of electro and the dark essence of EBM, their sound is a captivating blend of haunting melodies and electrifying rhythms. Abortive Gasp quickly gained attention for their enigmatic lyrics, delivered with raw passion and underscored by a sonic tapestry that reflected the shadows and complexities of the human experience. With their innovative approach, they cemented their place in Hamburg's music scene and left an indelible impression that was heard far beyond the city limits.
